Jasper Löwik, known as Genii, is a Dutch producer and DJ based in Amsterdam. Since 2007, Genii has been a key figure in the city’s vibrant electronic music scene, recognized for his innovative sound and contributions to the underground community.
Born and raised in The Netherlands, Genii developed a passion for electronic music early on, influenced by Detroit techno, acid house, and minimal techno. His music blends driving rhythms, deep bass lines, and experimental soundscapes, captivating audiences with its unique style. This innovative spirit is showcased in his “Wunderlamp” LP, a new moon saga featuring thirteen tracks released as a trilogy, available for free, forming a timeless journey through sound.
In addition to his music, Genii founded THE OTHER SIDE, an agency, label, and club in Amsterdam, promoting and supporting underground electronic music. This platform has created a space for artists to experiment and push boundaries.
Genii’s dedication to the underground music scene is reflected in his ethos: weaving the old with the new, exploring the known and the unknown, and valuing the journey over time. He embodies the idea that stories are eternal, repeating in mystery, and his work keeps the cycle spinning in a spiral.
